Bayer USA Foundation Endowed Library Collection in Science

The Bayer USA Foundation Endowed Library Collection in Science was established in 1989.

This endowment enables the Libraries to purchase important materials in the physical sciences, life sciences, and mathematics. Major past acquisitions, all critical to undergraduate, graduate, and faculty research, include Comprehensive Medicinal History, Grzimek’s Encyclopedia of Mammals, Comprehensive Organic Synthesis, and Reviews in Graph Theory.

Every single day scholars in science and engineering are making new discoveries, forever sculpting, changing, and advancing their fields. Faculty and students at Notre Dame need to know about research being conducted around the world, in real time, and they need to share the amazing things happening in University laboratories. Also, they need to learn about past discoveries that have laid the foundation for today’s extraordinary innovation and progress. Having access to library resources is vital for these endeavors. As the cost of these resources continues to rise, the Bayer USA Foundation Endowed Library Collection in Science becomes more crucial with each passing year.
