Wamser Family Library Endowment: Honoring the Liberal Arts Tradition

The Wamser Family Library Endowment was established in 1999 by Tom and Anne Wamser, residents of Shorewood, Wisconsin, during the summer and Naples, Florida, in winter months. Tom is president and chief executive officer of Proteus Packaging Corporation. At Notre Dame, he serves on the Hesburgh Libraries Advisory Council. Tom attended Marquette University, and Anne is a graduate of Mount Mary College. The Wamsers are members of the Sorin Society and the parents of two daughters, Jennifer (’94) and Colleen (’98).

The Wamser Endowment is assisting the Hesburgh Libraries in providing students in the liberal arts with the tools to navigate information resources, so that in life and in work, they are superbly equipped to make a difference. Unrestricted, to further the liberal arts tradition, the endowment also gives the flexibility to support faculty research in new areas, and provide resources, programs, and services for emerging academic initiatives.

The Wamsers have also established the Thomas and Anne Wamser Family Endowment in Architecture, the Thomas and Anne Wamser Scholarship, and the Thomas and Anne Wamser MBA Fellowship.
