Anne and Bob Hoyt Library Endowment in the Mendoza College of Business

The Anne and Bob Hoyt Library Endowment in the Mendoza College of Business was established in 1996 by Craig R. Hoyt (’72) and Sue Anne Pieroni in honor of their parents. Their father, a 1948 graduate of the Ohio State University, founded Buckeye Boxes, Inc., in 1966. Craig is now president and chief executive officer of the company. At Notre Dame, he and his wife, Lori, are members of the Sorin Society and the Badin Guild.

With the continuing growth and development of the programs in the University’s Mendoza College of Business, its faculty and students are becoming more active researchers in an increasingly broad spectrum of business-related topics. The Hoyt Endowment makes a significant, ongoing contribution to these efforts by providing for a strong collection. The fund makes possible the acquisition of research reports and statistical data files that allow Notre Dame students and faculty to examine behavior, decision-making, cultural issues, and public policy issues as they relate to business — on both a national and international level. The support of this endowment is essential in maintaining journal collections including RISK and other very expensive journals, the prices of which inflate annually.
