John T. Conroy Jr. Family Collection of Studies in Early Christianity

The John T. Conroy Jr. Family Collection of Studies in Early Christianity was established in 2011 by Dr. John T. Conroy Jr. (’59) and his wife, Joan Conroy. Jack currently serves on the University’s Graduate Studies and Research Advisory Council, and he and Joan have three children, all alumni of Notre Dame: Tom (’83), Mary-Zoe (’87), and Kristin (’88).

The Conroy Endowment supports Notre Dame’s holdings in Early Christianity, focusing primarily on theological, historical, and cultural texts from the period up to the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Thanks to this fund, students and faculty working in this interdisciplinary area—encompassing subjects from philology to liturgy, art history to philosophy—have access to critical reference material and primary sources.
