Jolene and Anthony DiMaggio General Library Endowment

The Jolene and Anthony DiMaggio General Library Endowment was established in 2001 by Jolene and her late husband, Anthony. Born and raised in California, Jolene and Anthony were loyal to Notre Dame since childhood. Anthony was president of Star Fisheries, Inc., a wholesaler of seafood, and Jolene has had a successful career in the same industry. Jolene resides in Rancho Palos Verdes, along with daughters Marissa and Stephanie.

The Jolene and Anthony DiMaggio General Library Endowment reflects the couple’s commitment to advancing scholarly excellence in all fields of study at Notre Dame. As a general endowment, it allows the Hesburgh Libraries the flexibility to acquire resources as needed for emerging areas of interest; to use funds at times and under circumstances of greatest cost optimization; and to offer support when and as Notre Dame students, faculty, and researchers need it. Two specific items for which the endowment helps to support include The Current Digest of the Russian Press and CultureGrams, which provides information on daily life and culture in reports of all fifty United States and more than 200 countries, including the Canadian provinces and territories.
